Child Safety Standards
Effective date: September 9, 2026
Tribe Platform Inc. ("Tribe") builds communities where adults find real friendship and a genuine sense of belonging. Child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE") has no place in any of them. These standards describe how we keep it out, how you can report it, and what we do when we learn of it. They apply everywhere Tribe brings people together — our apps and websites, our community and direct chats, our events, and our physical spaces — and to every member, guest, host, and member of our team. They form part of, and are read alongside, our Terms & Conditions, our Code of Conduct, and our Privacy Policy.
Tribe is for adults only
Tribe membership is limited to people aged 18 and over. We ask for date of birth at signup, our clubs verify the identity of members, and our events are adults-only. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account, attend an event, or take part in any Tribe space. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we remove their access and delete their information, as described in our Privacy Policy. This is our first and most important child-safety control: the community is not built for minors, and we do not admit them.
What is prohibited
The following are strictly forbidden on Tribe, without exception and regardless of who is involved. We have zero tolerance for any of it.
- Child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") — creating, uploading, sending, requesting, linking to, or possessing any image, video, or other depiction of the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of a minor, including material that is computer-generated, drawn, edited, or AI-generated.
- Sexualizing a minor in any way — describing, discussing, or depicting a person under 18 in a sexual manner, or sexualized commentary about a real child.
- Grooming, solicitation, or sextortion — attempting to build a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, soliciting sexual content or contact from a minor, or threatening to expose intimate material to coerce anyone.
- Child sex trafficking or the advertisement, facilitation, or arrangement of sexual contact with a minor.
- Sharing, trading, or seeking contact details, locations, or access to minors for any of the above purposes, or using Tribe to identify or reach a child for those purposes.
- Any other conduct that sexually exploits or endangers a child, whether or not it is depicted in content on our platform.
These prohibitions apply to conduct anywhere on Tribe and to conduct directed at anyone because of their participation in Tribe, including conduct that happens off-platform.
How to report
Anyone can report a child-safety concern to us, and you do not need to be certain before you speak up — tell us and let us look into it.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency services) first.
- In the app: press and hold any chat message and choose Report, or open the ⋯ menu on a member's profile and choose Report — then pick "Child safety" as the reason. Reports reach our safety team directly, and the same menus let you block the member immediately.
- By email, anytime: safety@tribesocialclub.com. Please include what you saw and where, so we can find it quickly. You may report on behalf of someone else, and you may ask to remain anonymous.
- At an event: tell the host or any member of the Tribe team, discreetly if you prefer.
- You can also report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678, in the United States. Outside the US, report to your national hotline or law enforcement.
Reporting a child-safety concern in good faith will never put your own standing in the community at risk, and we do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports.
How we respond
Our Terms commit us to acting on every report of objectionable content within 24 hours. A child-safety report goes to the front of that queue, and a report of apparent CSAE is escalated to our safety team the moment it is filed.
- We remove the content and suspend the account immediately on credible report, before any further review — we do not wait for certainty to stop harm. Content is also screened automatically as it is posted, so some material never reaches another member at all.
- We preserve the relevant content and account records as required by law, so that authorities can investigate.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC through the CyberTipline, as required of us by US law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), and we cooperate with law enforcement.
- We permanently end the membership of anyone who violates these standards, and we take reasonable steps to prevent them from returning under another account.
- We follow up with the person who reported, to the extent the investigation and the privacy of those involved allow.
Compliance with child-safety laws
We comply with applicable child-safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate, including US federal reporting obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and with the child-safety requirements of the app stores that distribute our apps. We keep these standards current as those obligations change.
Point of contact
Our designated point of contact for child-safety matters — for members, for the public, for app stores, and for law enforcement — is safety@tribesocialclub.com. Law-enforcement requests and preservation demands may also be sent to legal@tribesocialclub.com. Written correspondence: Tribe Platform Inc., San Francisco, California, United States.
Changes to these standards
We may update these standards as our communities and our legal obligations evolve. When we make a material change we will update the effective date above. This page is the authoritative, publicly available version.
